English or technology
'We need to protect the English language against the dangers of new technologies and their new words and grammars.'
In some extend I agree with this statement and in some I disagree theses are due to the effects that technology has on individuals in everyday life.
Firstly technology makes it easier for many health and social care professionals to communicate from different areas of the country to improve the health of their patients which then allows the communities health to improve. Technology also helps people with disabilities as it allows them an easier way to communicate with the rest of the community which allows them to feel more involved in the community. Technology is also beneficial for families, friends and business to communicate online and keep them up to date with the important news upon health and other important aspects in life.
However, technology also has a negative effect. The negative effect is mainly upon young children as they use technology more than children few years ago as now it became a popular trend. Technology negatively affects children's language as they are used to typing what they wish for however, they cant Express their feeling and needs in a speech format to others. This will then lead to the children falling behind in class as they dont know how to write on paper, communicate to people and understand what's going on in the world without being online using technology. Technology also has a negative effect on older people as well as if they dont communicate in person only through technology, their abilities to have an effective conversation will decrease and slowly they wont be able to have a normal conversation. Overall technology has negative effects and positive effects so it cant be changed it's either accepted or not.
